Message from Vincent Kapenga Kandolo, member of the IWI TUEC and the WFTU Secretariat, for the 3 years of life and action of the IWI:

INTERNATIONAL WORKERS INSTITUTE, 3 YEARS ALREADY!
Trade union struggle, particularly in the class-oriented movement, requires solid knowledge from committed comrades based on an ideological and trade union ethic of change.
Ensuring the longevity of the workers’ struggle through the WFTU requires capacity building for its members to ensure effectiveness in action.
Faced with a savage capitalism manifesting itself through a hegemonic struggle between imperialists and, considering the generalized insecurity to which the world is falling victim, appropriate workers’ education is indicated in order to keep the torch of the World Federation of Trade Unions high.
This light must pass from generation to generation until the final victory. It is with this logic that we salute today the 3 years of the International Workers Institute.
A work that allows maintaining within the working world the vanguard role against imperialism, the source of wars, poverty, and generalized insecurity; in short, the exploitation of man by man.
Imperialists use several weapons to maintain these scourges, notably the ideology of domination. It is, among other things, to counter this that the International Workers Institute was created.
This very important tool is in the hands of the WFTU and its members, and it must be used to spread knowledge of ideology and trade unionism of a true workers’ struggle across the world.
On this commemorative day, we wish to salute and congratulate comrade George Mavrikos who, tirelessly, supports the WFTU as well as all those who are lovers of justice and peace.
We also congratulate all the founding members of this brilliant idea of creating the IWI.
May they find our gratitude here. We also salute all the organizations that have already grasped the validity of the IWI and are soliciting its support for training.
Everywhere across the 5 continents, we launch a solemn appeal to members and friends of the WFTU to take advantage of this instrument for awakening consciences against exploitation and domination.
Good knowledge allows us to detect the enemy’s game, although in crisis, and to avoid falling into their multiple traps.
Long live the 3 years of the IWI. Long live the WFTU. Together, we shall win!
