The AFL-CIO 30th Convention met in Minneapolis, Minnesota, from June 6th to 10th.  The proceedings were predictable, scripted, uneventful, and barely noticed by most union members. The working class more broadly were oblivious to this meeting of the top leaders of the nation’s only labor center – representing nearly 70% of the organized workforce in the US.
