Vincent Kapenga Kandolo was born in Lubumbashi (Democratic Republic of Congo) in 1960. He is a father of 8 children. He holds a degree in Political and Administrative Sciences from the University of Lubumbashi (UNILU).
He was Professor of Accounting at the Matunda Institute from 1983 to 1988 and then became an agent with the National Railway Company of Congo (SNCC) from 1988 to the present.
He has been Regional Permanent of the CTP union since its creation, and an elected union delegate at SNCC since 1992. He was elected National Secretary of CTP at the 1998 Congress and then President of the SNCC Intersyndicale in 2004. He is a member of the Bureau of the World Federation of Trade Unions’ National Coordination in DRC.
In 2013 he was elected Deputy General Secretary of CTP and re-elected at the 5th Congress in 2021.
He has been an elected member of the TUI TRANSPORT Council since 2007, and a member of the WFTU’s Regional Bureau for French-speaking Africa since 2013.
He was elected Member of the WFTU Presidential Council in 2017 and re-elected at the 18th WFTU Congress in May 2022. He is also a member of the WFTU General Secretariat.
He speaks French, Swahili and English.
