Suzan Tayseer Abdel Salam comes from Palestine, Jerusalem. She is a social worker. She holds a BA in Sociology and MA in Democracy and Human Rights. She has been a community activist in the field of unions and a women activist and trainer in the field of human rights. She is a member of the Presidential Council of the World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU).
She is also a Women’s Coordinator at the World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU) and President of the Palestinian National Unions /Jerusalem JNUPW. Moreover she is a Deputy Mayor of Birnabala (2022-2026) and President of the Women’s Association of Northwest Jerusalem.
She is a member of the Parents Council of Schools at the Jerusalem Governorate level (2022-2023), Member of the Palestinian National Council and has also served as a member of the Arab Women’s Affairs Committee of the Arab Labor Organization/League ALO of Arab States (2016-2018) .
She is a regional member of the Fatah movement, Jerusalem Governorate and has also served as Head of the Women and Children Department at the General Union of Palestinian Workers from 2013 until 2019.
